I remember the day the pc came to my life… I don’t remember much. I think mine was an Apple, I remember it played a Gonzo game of some sort, and I remember I had to input to a dos command to start every program.
We truly are living in a new renaissance. We are living in a day when any device imaginable to the mind is just a few months from being created. It is wonderful living in this day in age. To a large degree, we are living in an age where man can do no wrong, his ceiling is limitless, and tomorrow is the hope of today.
There are also problems living in this day of enlightenment. At one time, our faith was placed in God. Today, our faith is now in our ingenuity and work. At one time man believed his only hope was in God. Today man’s faith is placed in science, engineering, and himself.
1 Corinthians 1:19 For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”
We must be careful to not think so much of ourselves that we make ourselves gods. Our temptation in this world is to make so much of ourselves, of our knowledge, and of our wisdom that we forget that all we have is for God. There is no wisdom without God; there is no knowledge if God does not give it. Man is nothing if he were not equipped by God.
