I have always believed that you talk about what you love the most. If you love your wife… you talk about her. If you love you car… you talk about it. If you talk about Christ… You love Him.
Evangelism is not some fancy presentation produced in Nashville. It is not a theological argument, not a door to door presentation. Evangelism is you talking about what you love most.
I meet many people who feel inadequate in evangelism. They come up and tell me that they don’t know what to say or come afraid thinking they would embarrass Christ.
These same people can talk your ear off about fishing, children, college football, and restaurants. We all speak about what we know and love best.
Paul would say in 1 Corinthians 2:2 “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” For Paul there was only one conversation worth having. He proudly spoke of Christ and Christ alone.
Take a moment today- just watch and see what you talk about. Whatever you speak of most is most likely what you are an evangelist of. Evangelism is simply talking about the Savior who consumes us. Does He consume you?
